About
Hoverbandit is a neon arcade hoverboard runner. Ride through rush-hour traffic, switch lanes, chain near misses, boost and grab a passing bus. In VR you steer by leaning your body, squat to duck and reach out to grab; on a phone you swipe.
Features
- 12 zones, from Neon Night and Neon Tokyo to Golden Souk and Hollow Woods
- Endless, Daily Run with a shared Daily Mixtape, 48 Routes challenges and a police Pursuit mode
- Radio Hits: 15 songs with traffic choreographed to the beat
- Rush Hour of the Dead: an opt-in cartoon zombie night, comedy without gore
- Heroes like Bandit the raccoon courier, Nana Nitro and Hopper the frog; boards, decks and trails to unlock
- VR comfort presets, standing or seated play, controllers or hand tracking
- Streamer tools: Chat Chaos (Twitch chat votes every 30 seconds), Ghost Raid, 15-second vertical clips; all music is generated in code and stream-safe
- Online leaderboards and ghosts; plays offline
History
BlueOrbit started Hoverbandit in October 2026 as a WebXR prototype about riding a hoverboard through traffic. Its art, sound and music are generated in code. The first release is planned as PICO Early Access.
